Pidgin compatible with the cat Facebook!

It has been a long time since I wanted to write a post on Pidgin, this tremendous client of instantaneous freight forwarding who allows to avoid the daily worries put down by MSN MESSENGER or his successor Windows Live Messenger: between viruses, advertising blindfolds and other "bulky" gadgets , the use of famous software became extremely heavy, with notably a time of completely unacceptable load on config the lightest or else under the BONE VISTA, true chasm in RAM there.

I had found well at some point a small very nice programme, Klin MESSENGER, allowing the "personalization" of the interface of CLIENT MSN, but Microsoft ended up contacting the author of this programme to threaten him to lodge a complaint for violation of royalties . In short, I tried to fold up on another solution, and it is while I discovered Pidgin, worthy going down from Gaim.

The feature of Pidgin, besides its aspect Open Source and its ultra-light interface GTK, domiciles in an unfailing ergonomics, notably thanks to its system of thumb-index which allows to avoid having 50 windows of debate opened in the bar of tasks.

But it is not everything. Because if MSN is the protocol of instantaneous freight forwarding most used today, some circles pr f reront the use of GTALK, of Skype, of Yahoo! MESSENGER, even from ICQ, etc. The protocols of instantaneous freight forwarding flourish with the advent of the Web 2.0, and it is difficult today to have all its regrouped contacts when these do not use the same tools of communication.

It is in it that Pidgin reveals all its pertinence: supporting several protocols in native, implemented according to versions regularly renewed, he allows in the single interface to regroup all count of freight forwarding which it is possible to imagine to have. And when Facebook reveals its cat's own system, it is possible to count on the community to develop the plugin who will allow to add aforementioned protocol to the list of those supported by the purple pigeon by waiting for the version which will support him in native! :wink:

Having instal on Pidgin the plugin Facebook, especially not reappoint the file where they appear!

To arrive at it, Pidgin abolishes all present friends of Facebook in the list, and r invite!

In any case this is of use for nothing since the new linking appear in any case in a different file called simply "Facebook" .

Since the concerned friends are those who were connected to BFRS since the installation of the plugin, this pourrissage (since it is one more than a bug) a good hunter of the addicts of social network is!

For my part, I also pointed out that if the plugin works very well on one of my PC, he can have a strange functioning on another PC however configur identically at software level.

In short, I think that the plugin is worth being little muri, especially since finally there remains very dependent on the site: that ci has to be opened (and that therefore Facebook discerns us as linked), to be possible have talks via the interface of Pidgin. They lose the first utility of the plugin, which consisted however in using a protocol of communication in an autonomous way

Yes, I agree on Pigdin who offers in more feature to be very light!

For my part, I toppled over on Digsby functionality of which is exactly the same, but who gives possibility besides being a skinnable! But I am on that Pigdin will come there also.
